PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Jim began his career with Ault, Clark & Associates in July 1995 immediately after graduating from Penn State. He was promoted to Senior Associate Architect in May 1998 and continued with ACA through the end of October 2002. Jim then relocated to Western Pennsylvania where he was born and raised. He opened his own golf course architectural firm Cervone Golf Design located near Pittsburgh, PA where he lives with his wife and three sons.
With experience in all aspects of golf course architecture, Jim has overseen the design and construction of new facilities and the master planning and renovation of existing facilities since shortly after entering the business in 1995. Jim prepares all level of conceptual plans and construction documentation including; Master Plans, Routing Plans, Grading Plans, Landscape Plans, Cost Estimates, Specifications, etc., and has even served as an expert witness on several golf related court cases.
Jim is a member of the American Society of Golf Course Architects (ASGCA), and has worked on projects across the US and abroad in the Caribbean, South America, Asia, Canada and South Africa. Jim frequently partners up with ACA to provide design, production and construction administration services on many projects.
